If you buy vitamins, herbs or supplements online, the best time of year to do so is in the cooler months. Many products (especially probiotics and vitamins with herbs) are heat sensitive and could be less effective if shipped in the summer months. Stock up now on any online vitamin, herb or probiotic purchases. Here are a few of my favorite products that I’ll be stocking up on before the warmer months hit:
Nettle Leaf: This herb makes a great multi-vitamin as it’s packed with protein, calcium, iron, magnesium and more. By taking it in powder form over capsule form, you’ll save money. Herbs are heat-sensitive so order soon and store in a cool dry place.
Probiotics for infants and toddlers: Probiotics are so important for immune health in little ones. Breastfeeding babies and toddlers receive this beneficial bacteria through the skin contact, so if you supplement bottles or don’t breastfeed, it’s important to add probiotics to your baby’s diet. Vitamin C: Did you know that vitamin C is crucial if you are stressed/have been stressed? The adrenal glands (which produce the stress response hormones) rely on vitamin C to function properly. Those that have been through high periods of stress may be lacking vitamin C. Go here for the brand I use. This vitamin should be ordered in the cooler months as it is extremely heat-sensitive. Store in a cool dry place.
