I’m in Florida and we have bugs aplenty here but I’ve managed to keep them out using diatomaceous earth. I have a DE duster and I spray the powder through the duster along the baseboards of my whole house and the perimeter of the house about once a month or every 2 months.
This particular DE is food grade, so you can also consume it. If you’re drinking filtered water, it’s important to add back in minerals to your water. DE is an affordable way to do this. Just add 1 TB of DE to a large glass jug (you can get 4 glass gallon jugs for $30 on Amazon right now!) of filtered water, let it sit for a few days then you can start drinking it and refilling it. It should last several weeks/months.
