My goat lately has been to cut out as many processed foods as we can. We started with cutting out cereal. Even though it was organic cereal, I wanted to add more whole foods to our diet, so we swapped out our morning breakfast of cereal with smoothies. I take 10 minutes every other night in my Blendtec and make large batches that last two days, so my husband and I can just grab our smoothies and go. I also make smoothie pouches for my kids. I love that I can sneak in herbs like nettle leaf and rosehips and veggies like spinach and carrots into their smoothies without them even tasting it.Â
Before I had my Blendtec, making smoothies was a pain and I rarely did it. I had a regular $40 blender, but it did not make smooth smoothies. I had to add so much liquid, otherwise it would just clump up and not blend. I’d also end up with large clumps of food in my smoothies. Â I finally put the money out for a Blendtec last year and I’m so glad I did! It makes store quality smoothies, as well as soups, flours, ice cream, sauces and more. I use it all of the time and in the year I’ve had it, it has not lost any of its zip.
This commercial quality blender will normally cost you $300, but today only as Amazon’s Deal of the Day, you can grab it for just $179.95, the best price seen! That’s even $10 less than the price I paid on Black Friday last year. This is going to be a popular deal, so grab it here quickly if you’re interested.

Would you mind sharing a typical smoothie recipe you use often? Thanks!!
I just throw in some ingredients, so here’s a rough estimate of portions:
1 cup of kefir or water
1/4 cup dairy free yogurt or tofu
1/2 tsp nettle leaf
1/2 tsp rosehips
1/2 tsp bee pollen
1/2 cup spinach
1/4 cup shredded carrots
1/2 cup oats
1/2 cup mango
1/4 cup berries
You can double or triple the recipe to make larger batches.
