If you’re into the health benefits of fermented foods, you may want to check out your local Big Lots! I found a whole shelf of organic and natural sauerkraut for just $2.50 a bottle! Sauerkraut usually sells for $7+ at other stores, so this was a fantastic price! The expiration dates were in 2017, so you have plenty of time to use it up if you stock up.
The ingredients for the Polish Barrel Sauerkraut are just sauerkraut, water and salt. The ingredients for the organic version are organic white cabbage, salt, organic carrot, water and citric or ascorbic acid.
Products can vary by store, but often times they are the same nation wide.
