Normally I buy dry beans and cook and freeze large batches myself, as it’s a lot cheaper than buying canned beans. Sometimes, though, it’s nice to have the convenience of canned beans, as cooking dry beans takes time and planning. Costco has a nice deal on organic canned beans that is worth stocking up on!
S&W organic black beans, 8 15 oz. cans $6.59, so just $.83 per can!
Canned organic beans usually run around $1.50-$2 a can, so this is a great deal!
As a price comparison, a pound of dry beans makes about four cans of cooked beans. Organic dry beans are around $2.39 a lb, so $.60 a can when cooking them yourself.
