Costco wins again! Costco continues to come in as the lowest priced in many organic food categories. I checked out their latest selection of organic fresh and frozen fruit, and their prices beat out the regular grocery stores. Here’s what I found and how it compares:
Organic strawberries $5.79 2 lb, so just $2.90 per lb! Organic strawberries average $3.50 per lb.
Organic blueberries $6.49 18 oz., so just $2.16 per 6 oz! Organic blueberries average $3 per 6 oz.
Organic bananas $1.99 3 lb, so just $.66 per lb! Organic bananas average $.89 per lb.
Organic green grapes $7.99, 4 lb, so just $1.99 per lb! Organic grapes average $2.99 per lb.
Organic frozen berry blend $10.49 3 lb, so just $3.49 per lb! Organic frozen berries average $3.99 per lb.
Keep in mind, the price comparisons don’t take into account store sale prices or coupons you may use on these products, so you may be able to beat or match Costco’s organic produce price by shopping grocery store’s sales with coupons.
