I purchased 26 bags of Miracle Gro Organic Choice moisture control potting mix at Costco last night…I was all excited finding an organic claim, but what on earth does the statement “ Made with compost from ingredients Diverted from Landfills” mean??? (Stated on the Bag)
How can landfill byproduct be organic?
What if there were chemicals dumped at the landfill?

I am curious to know this as well.
Also, I opened 1 bag today, but it felt like all peatmoss, very light, no soil or fertilizer granules. I kept watering the pot with this potting mix but water refused to come out of pot even after watering 2 gallons. I heard last year people complained about the formula of this potting mix and how their plants were stunted. Wondering of I should return the rest of the bags since the formula still seems the same as last year.
