I was shopping at Aldi the other day with my kiddos (as you can see from my little girl’s foot in the picture! 🙂 ) and came across a brand new product, organic chocolate chips!
I went to read the label as I figured at that price, there’s now way they were dairy free, but guess what, they are!
Now, the ingredients listed are just sugar, chocolate liquor, cocoa butter and vanilla butter (all organic), but they do put the warning on there that it “may” contain soy and milk, even thought it’s not listed as an ingredient. We’re sensitive, not allergic, to dairy, so I bought some and we’ve been fine, but be careful if you have an actual allergy.
Usually ORGANIC chocolate chips without dairy as an ingredient go for $5.99+ a bag, so I’m so excited that these SimplyNature organic semi-sweet chocolate chips are just $2.49 a bag! Such a hot price, so stock up if you’re interested!
My kids have not cared much for other non dairy chocolate chips but they love these (I do too!).
I saw them a couple days ago too, and I was wondering if they’d been there before. I spent $4-$5 per bag at Earth Fare when I was making fudge during the holidays. I kind of felt like I should be mad at myself for overspending when I saw the price at Aldi. I picked up 2 bags to make up for it, even though it will be a while before I make fudge again lol.
Our Aldi’s carried them for a few months, at $1.99 a bag, but discontinued them. I love Aldi’s, but my only complaint is that they often carry an item for a limited time. Such a tease! Lol
I agree, it’s hard to know what to expect each trip.
Thank you!!im excited to try these out! I love aldis & haven’t been getting chocolate chips there anymore since i became vegan
I haven’t seen them lately at my store, hopefully your Aldi has these!
