(my kiddos first time seeing the ocean~ my oldest loved it, my youngest thought the water was chasing her so she stuck to playing in the sand 🙂 )
Hello again! I’m sorry it’s been a few days since I’ve posted! I haven’t taken a break like this since I started this site 4 years ago (I even posted when I was in labor 2 years ago)! This was an unintentional break. We just moved from Michigan to Florida. I bought a laptop so that I could blog on the road in the hotel, but each day’s drive ended up taking 13 hours, so I was exhausted after driving and putting 2 kiddos down.
I then arrived to my new house in FL on Friday and couldn’t get somebody out to set up internet until today. Then they arrived today and couldn’t find the wiring so now I have to wait until Wednesday for internet, so I ran to the nearest Panera to hook up to their WIFI so I could at least get a few posts up for you!
closing on our new home!
Many of you that have been reading for awhile know that I struggle with an autoimmune disease. We’ve been praying about moving to a warmer climate for awhile now and decided to move down to Florida! Winters are hard on my health and we had rough winters in MI, so we’re hopeful that the warmer weather will help. We moved into a new construction home over the weekend, and love the area already. Our local church was a huge blessing helping us move in as we don’t know a soul out here! We’re so excited to be very close to the ocean though, my kids have already fallen in love with the beach.
Nothing will change with the blog, I’ll still keep bringing you the best natural and organic coupons and deals. I actually have access to a few more stores down here than I did in MI, so that should mean more deals for me to post!
Don’t worry, I don’t plan on any more breaks, I’ll be posting daily for you once the internet is hooked up on Wednesday. Enjoy your 4th of July (we’re hoping to hit the beach again and check out the fireworks on the water that evening)! AND, be sure to check the blog ALL day on July 11th as that’s Amazon Prime Day and you’ll find the lowest prices of the year on many items. I’ll be hooking you up with the best organic and natural deals that day.
Thanks for you loyalty in being a reader!
Bethany 🙂
So glad you made it to the south – you’ll love it here! Enjoy the beach and time getting settled with your family! Many blessings.
Thanks Danielle! We are so excited to be here!
Honey take that break if you need too; Enjoy this new chapter in your family’s life! Very happy for ya’ll and you work hard on posting deals you deserve this break.
Thanks Marcy! 🙂
I’m from Michigan and also moved to Central Florida with my husband and baby last year! We love the change of climate. My husband also has a couple of autoimmune disorders and the weather helps his psoriasis a lot. Have you tried the Autoimmune Protocol?
Not sure where you are in Florida but let me know if you have any questions about stuff to do and crunchy mama places to shop! 🙂
Oh that’s awesome! I’m glad it’s helping him! I did do aip for awhile last year. I’ve found sun, sleep and diet help me the most. I’m a little ways outside of Orlando, how about you?
We are in north Orlando! We are from Michigan but lived in Wisconsin for three years at seminary and when my husband graduated he took a job at a church down here. 🙂
That’s funny – we live in Florida (south of downtown Orlando), but we are in Michigan for the summer staying with my in laws and enjoying the break from the heat! :). We head back after the worst of The heat (and in time to avoid the too cold weather in northern Michigan!).
That’s the way to do it! I hope to take our vacations in the summer too!
Oh wow, we’re close! That’s great he got a job with a church here!
Do you know of any companies that do natural lawn care, like fertilizing and weed control? I want to stay away from chemicals but haven’t found any natural places down here.
We are renting our house so unfortunately I don’t have any companies to suggest. We just kinda let things go wild and our landlord doesn’t seem to mind as long as we cut the grass, haha. One thing I really miss about up north is the nice soft grass. It just doesn’t exist down here, plus you have the fire ants to watch out for.
Yes the grass is not comfy here at all!
MI will miss you – enjoy the new adventures!!
Thank you Jessica!
