One of the biggest ways I save on my natural and organic grocery and household bill is by taking advantage of Amazon’s Subscribe and Save program. If you’re new to Subscribe & Save (S&S), you’ve got to check it out.
Amazon already offers low prices (and sometimes even coupons) on many popular natural and organic products. A lot of these items are eligible for an additional discount when you choose Subscribe and Save. Subscribe and Save products are shipped once monthly. If you have a total of 5 or more S&S items in a month’s time, you’ll save a whopping 15% off your entire S&S order! If you have less than 5 items, you’ll save 5% off your entire order. This program is for anyone, not just Prime members.
By subscribing, you can choose to have that product shipped every 1-6 months. However, if after the first month you want to cancel future shipments, you can cancel it easily in the S&S section on Amazon, WITHOUT penalty. This gives you the opportunity to score the extra 5-15% savings, without committing to future shipments.
This is my favorite way to save as 1. I don’t have to leave my house (this rocks when you have little ones in tow) and 2. the prices are much lower than in store anyway!
I asked my readers what they are saving the most on and what items are currently on their Subscribe and Save lists and here’s what they shared. Just click each link to see the current price (and always check for clippable coupons under the price):
Nature’s Path EnviroKidz cereal
Hodgson Mill organic spirals pasta
San Francisco Bay organic Rainforest Blend coffee k-cups
Sprout organic Curlz toddler snack
Santa Cruz organic applesauce cups
Angie’s Boom Chicka Pop popcorn
Seventh Generation toilet paper
Cascadian Farm organic granola bars
Nature’s Path gluten free oatmeal
Good State liquid vitamins, ionic magnesium
Pamela’s gluten free bread mix, 25 lb.
Garden of Life Prenatal vitamins
Annie’s organic variety pack snacks
Presto! biobased laundry detergent
Garden of Life Primal Defense Kids
Here’s a pic of what my July order is. I’m paying far less than I would have in store. I bought these items throughout the month as I saw good deals.
Once you place your Subscribe and Save order, you are locked in on that price, so if it goes up, you’re good! If it goes down, you can cancel the original order and place a new one before your deadline to add to your S&S comes. The deadline is usually 8 days before the products ship. You can change your ship date at anytime too, to have the entire S&S order come quicker or you can push the date out further.

A huge thanks to my readers for sharing these deals and to my friend Heather for the idea to share these!
