Back in October, I reported that Whole Foods was discontinuing their popular printable and Whole Deal coupons. Well, more sad news. As of May 1st 2018, Whole Foods will also be discontinuing their app based coupons.
Lately, there haven’t been that many coupons on the Whole Foods app, so I expected this announcement. I am disappointed. Whole Foods store coupons were one of the biggest ways I saved on organic grocery bill. I shop there just once a month now instead of weekly as I can’t get the organic deals there that I can at other stores, like Aldi, Costco and Walmart.
They have announced that something “new” is coming on May 1st, so I’ll be anxious to hear what that is. In the past, the hinted toward discounts at Whole Foods for Amazon Prime members, so I expect it will be something related to that.
I’ll still be posting any hot deals or sales that I find there, so be sure to check out this Whole Foods Deals and Coupon section.
What are your thoughts on Whole Foods now discontinuing all of their store and app coupons?
Sounds to me like they’re trying to discourage us couponers ??
I used to work at Whole Foods and yes you are correct. They’re piloting amazon fresh with new deals and distribution through WFM in big cities like San Francisco while they cut off amazon fresh from everyone else. Right now, I’m not seeing huge deals in WFM, so I’ve also reduced my shopping there and diverted some shopping to amazon, Costco, and some orders through Jet and Target alongside thrive market. I haven’t heard any good rumors yet, so it’s still questionable what’s in store.
Btw, you can always check your local store and see if they accept mfg coupons. No doubles, but at least you’re not 100% out of luck.
Yeah luckily they do still accept coupons. I hope that never changes!
