If you’re wondering where Whole Foods Market printable store coupons went I found out the answer today at my local Whole Foods store.
They are no longer offering the online printable coupons effective immediately. They have one last Whole Deal coupon booklet available in stores for October 2017. This is the last coupon booklet we should expect to see at Whole Foods as well.
According to my local store, they will only be offering the Whole Foods app coupons as store coupons. I am really disappointed to hear this as the printable coupons had an unlimited print option, so you could use as many as you needed. Also, the online coupons/Whole Deal coupon booklet coupons had a lot more each month, usually around 40 coupons. The app only offers about 6-12 coupons a week and they are limited to a one time use.
I was afraid of this change happening when they were bought out by Amazon. It’s said that their prices are lower at Whole Foods since the acquisition but I haven’t noticed much of a decrease in anything that I buy frequently. The coupons were the major reason I shopped there, so I don’t know that I’ll be purchasing as much there now.
I’ll still be posting any hot deals or sales that I find there, so be sure to check out this Whole Foods Deals and Coupon section.
What are your thoughts on the change in coupons? Have you noticed any lower prices at your local Whole Foods since Amazon acquired them?
I work at whole foods and there are lots of items that have been discounted, including several of the 365 items, such as butter, pasta sauces and more. Also there are price cuts on some meats and produce.
I haven’t noticed Amy decreases among the items I purchase. In fact, I’ve noticed an increase. For example, I purchase Whole Foods brand cereal bars. They used to be $1.99 and now they are $2.29. Likewise, the store brand puts chips used to be $1.99 and now they are $2.99
its so unfortunate, i love using coupons for my quality organic pricey products, it gets me a high and makes me feel fortunate that i could redeem something for lower that is a quality item i would not buy otherwise. i believe the change is due to amazon acquiring them this last month (i work for amazon).
do you know if they stlll allow manufacturer coupons, printable or from paper?
Yes they do still allow all manufacturer coupons and you can stack them with their mobile coupons.
Yikes; The coupons were definitely a determining factor for me shopping there; In my area the other grocery stores are offering the same organic products and produce for cheaper prices but the whole foods coupons would make them even cheaper. I will definitely not be shopping there as frequently.
I’m surprised they are doing away with the coupon books but I never saw anyone other than myself using them and I shop there frequently. They might as well do away with the printing costs and environmental waste to better align with their values.
Also I get way more than 5-6 coupons in the app every week and I have noticed big price decreases in many staples! Organic milk is down $1, ground Beef is down $2/lb. and lots more.
hoping this will mean they will be adding more to the app as well.
Thank you for this post! I was very disappointed to see they that they are no longer offering the coupons booklets. Although in the months leading up to the end of the booklets, they were becoming stingy and only allowing me to use one store coupon per transaction (if I bought 4 yogurts, I could only use 1 store coupon instead of 4). I agree with saving paper but they are not offering nearly as many coupons on the app as there used to be in the booklets.
Also, the sales flyer is condensed to a handful of items rather than the 3 pages they used to offer. There are still many more items on sale in the store but without notice I cannot plan ahead and stack my mfg coupons.
So since Whole Foods/Amazon made these changes I find myself shopping much less at Whole Foods b/c it is costing me much more than it used to. Yes some staples have been reduced but they big savings used to be getting name brand organics for less by couponing. The only upside is that i am less stressed at the checkout…no more trying to make sure sale items ring up correctly and trying to match up a store and mfg coupon. But in the end Whole Foods has lost a lot of my business and money.
I was very disappointed in the coupon booklet being discontinued. And now I heard that the digital coupons aren’t being offered any more. I’m sure they will be losing more and more business. The coupons made it more affordable to shop there. I let them know my thoughts but didn’t receive a response.
I recently noticed their app coupons have stopped too. So sad.
